Computerless

Well, my cheap end laptop finally died. It was a long and excurciating death both for me and the laptop. I have buried it in the backyard (after beating it with a baseball bat) and am know going through laptop withdraw. It isn't pretty!

I do have a few limited options. I have my Kindle so I can update book status and check news. My phone has a decent enough Facebook app. Otherwise, I am showing up early for work or running over to hubs work to work on a few things. I am making things work. Albiet, grudgingly and try not to whine. It is what it is and I just have to wait for the first of the year to get a new laptop.

Just a few things I miss the most about not having a laptop/netbook/computer: easy access to Evernote and Delicious (where all my recipes to try are saved), the loss of easy Google search (who's that actor to substitutes for buttermilk, I Google-fu), playing my Facebook games, being able to search the library website and place holds. I miss wasting time online, checking my RSS Feeds, and the connectivity. Yes, I prefer online connection to meeting people in person.

Which is why things are going to be quiet on this blog for a bit. I can't blog at work and I just feel like maybe now is a good time to step back a bit. Blog every week instead of every 2-3 days. Bear with me, but things may be slow around here. Besides, it's Christmas-go take a drive and look at Christmas lights. Spend time with those you love. Maybe getting off the computer a bit will be good for me!
